Kathaldih Coal Mine, India

Kathaldih Coal Mine is located in Pakur district, Jharkhand in northeastern India. Operation of the mine has ceased and it lies abandoned, though at the time this image was taken it was still in operation. The road leading from the mine to the Pakur district has been heavily travelled with coal trucks, leaving a distinct record of the mining activity.
