Nevada National Security Site, United States

This image covers the Nevada National Security Site, previously known as the Nevada Test Site and the Nevada Proving Ground. These sites were the location of extensive weapons testing involving nuclear bombs during the mid 20th century. Records of these weapons tests are visible on the right side of this image, in Yucca Flats north of Yucca Lake (white triangle).
