Saloum Delta, Senegal

The Saloum River flows westward into the North Atlantic Ocean through a spectacular delta. To the south and west of the river is a UNESCO World Heritage site designated in 2011. Salt evaporation ponds on the right side of the image are located in the city of Kaolack, Senegal.
