Poechos Reservoir, Peru

Poechos Reservoir (bottom right) falls on the Chira River, near the northern border of Peru. It serves multiple purposes for Sullana Province, aiding in agricultural irrigation and electricity generation. The reservoir was initially constructed in the mid 1970s and was outfitted for hydroelectric generation in the mid 2000s.
