DESCRIPTION
Cooper Creek is formed at the union of the Barcoo River and the Thomson River in southwest Queensland, Australia. The settlement of Windorah, with its meager population of about 100, is situated at the tip of the yellow mass of land jutting down from the upper left in this image. Cooper River is one of the longest inland rivers in Australia. It is the sibling river to the Diamantina River as both rivers drain into Lake Eyre.
